JP Leous connects WRI programs and business to scale the impact of WRI’s signature initiatives and break new ground in corporate sustainability advancements. As Head of Corporate Relations, he spearheads impact partnerships, philanthropic relationships, and new engagement mechanisms with the private sector.
JP has spent over 15 years working on the world’s most pressing sustainability challenges. Over his career, JP has driven client and stakeholder solutions within financial, institutional/governmental, retail, energy, and non-governmental organizations. Prior to joining WRI, JP held posts in corporate sustainability consulting and climate policy, and also served on the faculty of The George Washington University’s School of Public Health and Health Services.
A Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, JP received his graduate degree from Columbia University’s School of International and Public Affairs, where he co-founded the school’s first prize for student-led sustainability-focused projects—The Award for Progressive Sustainability
A resident of the District of Columbia, JP enjoys the outdoors, photography, playing mandolin and making others laugh.
