Alan Rose is energy and utilities marketing director at Intel. He is responsible for the industry marketing strategy spanning utilities, market allies and government to drive the advancement of energy efficient IT, smart-grid and smart-city initiatives.
Prior to joining Intel, Alan was involved in a couple of start-ups, including an energy efficiency consulting firm where he designed and managed electric and gas utility energy efficiency programs across residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
Alan has served as communications officer for The Green Grid Utility Task Force, a consultant to the Bonneville Power Administration's Emerging Technologies for Energy Efficiency (E3T) Program, and as a member of the PG&E Utility IT Energy Efficiency Coalition.
He currently represents Intel Corporation on the Industry Advisory Council at the Pecan Street Smart Grid Demonstrations, the Utility Analytics Institute, Western Energy Institute, and GTM Research's Grid Edge Executive Council. In addition, Alan has authored several papers published by the American Council for an Energy Efficient Economy (ACEEE), The Green Grid, and the Association of Energy Service Professionals (AESP).
