Alpa Sutaria is the Vice President and General Manger, Sustainability for The Coca-Cola Company’s largest Operating Unit. She leads efforts to make progress against the company’s ambitious growth agenda and World Without Waste, Water, Energy & Carbon Sustainability objectives, including efforts to reduce packaging waste, increase water sustainability and improve carbon footprint.
Alpa has a total business perspective and leadership approach, honed over a 30-year career through experiences in Supply Chain & Manufacturing, Consulting, Revenue Growth Management, Finance, Strategy, Marketing, Human Resources & PACS.
Alpa has worked across the Coca-Cola System since 2006. In recent years, she has been an instrumental driver of several of The Coca-Cola Company’s strategic initiatives, including the refranchising of our biggest U.S. bottler, launching the global Growth Culture in support of the company’s Beverages for Life vision, and leading the effort to establish a suite of business-led initiatives that drive progress vs. Sustainability objectives for North America.
She is passionate about creating sustainable business growth and fostering an inclusive working culture. She is Chairwoman of The Coca-Cola Company Multi-Cultural Leadership Council where she works to advance a more inclusive and vibrant workplace, and is heavily involved in the company’s Social Justice initiatives.
Prior to joining Coca-Cola, Alpa worked at Deloitte Consulting and Procter & Gamble. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Operations Research and Industrial Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from the Goizueta Business School, Emory University.
Alpa lives in Atlanta with her husband, PJ, and two sons, Devin & Dylan. She enjoys gardening, learning about history, cooking for friends, and traveling the world.
