Alvaro Pereira

Alvaro Pereira is an energy economist with 25 years of experience in economic, technical, and policy analysis with expertise in renewable energy, procurement, carbon accounting, and power markets.

Alvaro leads Enel X’s global net zero consulting team, which is responsible for supporting customers in their net zero journey, starting with measurement of emissions, developing targets, strategies, and implementation plans to reduce emissions, helping execute on these plans, and reporting progress towards target attainment.

Alvaro has led decarbonization workshops for global customers and has reviewed and supported numerous project proposals and purchase power agreements (over 2000 MW) from multiple renewable energy types including solar, wind (onshore and offshore), hydro, biomass, and geothermal.
