Amy Kalafa is a sustainability strategist and digital media expert specializing in connecting organizational strategy with sustainability initiatives, social and environmental impact and storytelling. In the past, she has produced award-winning films, television programs and books about sustainable energy, food and business. In 2012 and 2013, she won seven Telly Awards for two series of videos promoting renewable energy and energy conservation, “Attainable Sustainables” and “Our Stories.” Her 2011 book, Lunch Wars: How to Start a School Food Revolution and Win the Battle for Our Children’s Health was nominated for the Books for a Better Life Award. The book is the ‘sequel’ to her feature documentary, “Two Angry Moms” (2008) on the topic of sustainable school food. Amy’s work has been nationally recognized on NPR, the cover of USA Today, the New York Times, CNN, Rachel Ray, and Fox News Live, among others. She is an alumnus of the Bard MBA in Sustainability Program.
