Andrea Romi is an Assistant Professor at Rawls College of Business at Texas Tech University.
Romi joined the Accounting Department at Texas Tech in June 2012; previously she was a visiting assistant professor at the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University – Bloomington. Romi received her Ph.D. at the University of Arkansas (2010), her Masters in Accountancy at the University of Missouri – Columbia, and is a CPA. Her research interests include environmental accounting and corporate sustainability. She has worked with The Sustainability Consortium, among other leading research institutions and auditing firms, to develop uniform, industry-wide sustainability measurements and assurance standards. Romi has experience with both non-governmental organizations as well as regulators (e.g. CERES, AICPA, and SEC) in moving the corporate sustainability movement forward. Her research has been integrated into policy papers lobbying regulators to enhance corporate environmental disclosures.
