Annie Leonard of Greenpeace on mixing business with politics

Greenpeace USA Executive Director Annie Leonard — creator of the iconic film "The Story of Stuff" — spoke at GreenBiz 17 about the need to hold politicians and businesses accountable for climate change, and what the Trump administration could mean for climate policy in the United States.

"It’s a lot easier to sit at a table and go through your supply chain and figure out solutions than it is to climb a crane and hang up 300 feet in the air for 16 hours," she said, referring to the non-governmental organization's legacy of attention-grabbing protest tactics. Watch Leonard's entire talk here, and read this vintage interview from when she was just starting her work at Greenpeace.
