The circular economy keeps innovation in play

The best of live interviews from GreenBiz events. This episode: Dame Ellen MacArthur discusses how the circular economy is transforming businesses.

"We probably only know 2 percent of what the circular economy really is," said Ellen MacArthur, co-founder of the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, launched in 2010 to study and accelerate the circular economy in business sectors around the world. "It's fundamentally a change in the way the economy functions from the outset; the way that materials flow through the economy; the way that energy is used within the economy."

She discusses the enormous opportunity of waste materials to become a new source of value for companies and how it is being implemented by cities, regions, universities, governments and emerging innovators.
