Verisae, which offers retail facilities management software and services, has acquired Hara, one of the pioneering sustainability software companies. It’s a further proof point that sustainability management software is joining its peers by moving to the cloud.

Hara’s software helps sustainability professionals track, report, and execute against cost savings opportunities, compliance requirements, and operational improvements. Like Versiae’s suite of tools, it’s considered SaaS, or “software as a service.”

“The acquisition of Hara supports our commitment to helping our customers achieve sustainable and profitable growth,” stated Jerry Dolinsky, CEO of Verisae. “The addition of Hara is highly strategic and broadens the depth of our integrated sustainability software platform.”

Dolinsky further added, “Hara customers will benefit by gaining access to Verisae’s comprehensive software solutions – from asset management, energy demand management and lease management to remote monitoring – in one integrated sustainability platform, in addition to our great product development team and our industry best practices, which we’ve built over our 13-year history.”

“With this development, Hara is adding to Verisae’s robust platform of integrated software services that will improve the offering for our combined customer base,” said Rodrigo Prudencio, CEO of Hara Software. “We look forward to working with Jerry and his team on a successful integration with Verisae.” Prudencio will step down as CEO of Hara following the completion of the acquisition.

Verisae also recently purchased WorkOasis, a Georgia-based SaaS company. The combined software platform will launch in the first quarter of 2014 with all Verisae, Hara, and WorkOasis customers gaining access to expanded functionality.

The growing Verisae network of retail, hospitality, retail banking, education, technology, manufacturing, service management, and government customers represent more than 68,000 buildings and sites, creating one of the largest global networks of its kind, with a presence in more than 70 countries worldwide.
