Head of Department
Betty Seto is Head of Department of the Sustainable Buildings and Communities group at DNV GL. She leads our innovative local government climate action plans and energy action plan practice, which includes consulting services to transform our energy and water sectors. Ms. Seto provides strategic support for net zero energy goals, energy efficiency, renewable energy and greenhouse gas reduction planning projects. Ms. Seto provides technical expertise related to community scale issues/technologies, greenhouse gas accounting, peer-to-peer learning, emerging technologies and future emissions scenario analysis.
Prior to DNV GL, Ms. Seto worked at the World Resources Institute, where she developed methodologies for quantifying the greenhouse gas emissions benefits related to renewable energy generation. At the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, Ms. Seto was responsible for promoting energy efficiency and biofuels for local and federal agencies.
