Blair Bateson

Blair helps companies implement the vision of the Ceres Roadmap for Sustainability and supports the integration of ESG issues into the business strategies and decision-making of banks, energy companies and investor relations teams within and outside the Ceres Company Network. He also serves as a banking-sector expert for the Ceres Accelerator, developing recommendations and analysis that push banks to better integrate climate change into their strategy, risk management, governance and disclosure.Prior to joining Ceres, Blair worked in climate change policy research at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, analyzing the evolution and efficacy of national climate policy mixes. He has also worked in strategic planning and investor relations for Nexen, a Canadian energy company, where he was responsible for economic analysis, benchmarking and the development and communication of company strategy.Blair holds an MA in Comparative International Studies from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich and a BCom in Finance and International Business from McGill University in Montreal. Blair is also a CFA charterholder.
