Musicians Amanda Barrett and Abby DeWald, formerly known as the Ditty Bops, have scored a Grammy nomination for the green, vintage-inspired album cover of their album Summer Rains.

The cover contains a pull-tab cover, pop-up center, and spin-wheel back made from recycled paper and soy-based inks. Barrett and DeWald avoided the typical CD cover supply chain and found their own manufacturers and materials in a quest for sustainability.

The musicians have been long-time supporters of environmental causes—their non-profit organization You and I Save the World helped pass San Francisco's plastic bag ban. Barret and DeWald also traveled across the country by bicycle for their four-month 2006 tour.
