Powered by a fully functional, renewably powered microgrid and showcasing game-changing technologies, the Interconnect Expo at VERGE SF promises to be an inspiring and interactive highlight of the four-day conference.

VERGE SF, October 27-30, is the flagship of a global event series produced by GreenBiz Group. The event focuses on how technology accelerates sustainability solutions across industries and cities in a climate-constrained world.

VERGE Interconnect Expo is an interactive vendor and technology exhibition that demonstrates the future of energy efficiency, distributed energy systems, food transportation, visualization, smart systems and resilience. In addition to being fully powered by an onsite microgrid with battery storage, VERGE Interconnect will feature 3D printers, drones, electric vehicles, virtual reality, and a showcase with presentations from technology providers leading the future.

Interactive displays just outside the Interconnect hall on Jessie Street will include a popup parklet, EV charging and test drives, a 20kW generator run on walnut shells, a solar array and an innovative "Food Tech Snack-down" offering samples of foods from several novel and disruptive food companies.

"We're excited to have the support of blue chip companies, such as General Electric, GM, Siemens, HP, Autodesk, Steelcase, Qualcomm, and Oracle, as well as innovative disrupters, including SolarCity, Spirae, Stem, View, and Enlighted, participating in VERGE Interconnect," said Eric Faurot, CEO of GreenBiz Group. "The diversity of companies involved brings the VERGE ecosystem to life."

The nearly 100 sessions in the VERGE SF program focus on distributed energy systems, next-gen buildings, sustainable mobility, food and water systems, smarter supply chains and resilient cities. Featured speakers from the more than 200 confirmed to participate include Lisa Jackson of Apple, Chris Anderson of 3D Robotics, Joe Gebbia of Airbnb, John Lauckner of GM, Robb Fraley of Monsanto, author and entrepreneur Paul Hawken, biomimicry guru Janine Benyus and senior executives from Autodesk, Facebook, HP, Ford, GE, SDG&E, Google, IBM, Southern California Edison, Microsoft, NRG Energy, Jones Lang LaSalle, Yahoo!, PG&E, Volvo, Boeing, Qualcomm, Kaiser Permanente, PepsiCo and Walmart.

Public-sector speakers represent the cities of Los Angeles, Atlanta, New York, Boston, Philadelphia, San Francisco; the state of California, the federal Department of Energy, General Services Administration, NOAA and the White House.

Admission to Interconnect Expo is available to all VERGE registrants. A separate Interconnect pass includes admission to select keynotes, full Expo and Showcase access and a special Wednesday night VERGE After-Dark party. For more information about VERGE San Francisco, visit GreenBiz.com/VERGE.
