Brian Lovett is a Ph.D student studying mycology in agricultural and vector biology systems. He works on projects analyzing mycorrhizal interactions in agriculture, the transcriptomics of malaria mosquitoes and genomes of entomopathogenic fungi. He has worked as part of an international team to usher transgenic insect-killing fungi through semi-field trials in Soumousso, Burkina Faso in sub-Saharan Africa.
