Caroline Coccoli is a knowledge and data analyst for the Inclusive Climate Action Programme, within C40’s Special Projects team. Prior to joining C40, Caroline worked at The Economist Group’s World Ocean Initiative, where she researched and reported on ocean governance and the development of the sustainable blue economy. Caroline brings experience in geospatial data analysis, having published research on marine spatial planning.
She previously worked at AZTI Tecnalia, a marine science institute in Pasajes, Spain, where she developed a machine-learned model for spatial conflict resolution between marine industries along the Basque Coast. Caroline holds a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science from Northwestern University. She was awarded an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship for her Master’s degree in Marine Environment and Resources, completing her studies at Université de Bordeaux, Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea/Universidad del País Vasco, and the University of Southampton.
