Catherine Sheehey, lead of Global Sustainability Partnerships for UL’s Environment and Sustainability division, brings 20 years of project and program management experience to bear for UL. She manages a range of engagements and partnerships to help UL and its clients further their sustainability goals and unlock value for their efforts. Catherine was a key member of the team which created UL 880 - a Standard for Sustainability of Manufacturing Organizations, UL’s first standard to address social and environmental responsibility issues at an enterprise level.
Before joining UL, Catherine led organization design and change enablement teams at Accenture. Catherine’s other work experience includes working to update and grow the Corporate Equality Index (a tool that rates businesses and organizations on their treatment of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees and consumers) for the Human Rights Campaign. Catherine also served as Director of Corporate Benchmarking Services at the Investor Responsibility Research Center, where she provided social and environmental screening data on companies to institutional investors.
Catherine holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.
