Chris is a senior Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) investment strategist for the Wells Fargo Asset Management (WFAM). Chris’s responsibilities include thought leadership, shaping product development, supporting ESG integration by WFAM investment teams and helping clients develop and implement their ESG strategies. Chris serves on WFAM’s Diversity & Inclusion Council, Climate Change Working Group, and the ESG Council, the firm’s senior-most body for ESG matters. Prior to joining WFAM in 2018, Christopher served as head ESG strategist for State Street Global Advisors and was a member of the firm’s senior leadership team. Earlier industry roles include Index Management and Business Development for KLD Research & Analytics in Boston, one of the first research firms to specialize in ESG investment, and as a team resource specialist for American Century Investments, where he began his investment industry career in 1999.
Chris earned a bachelor’s of science in business administration with a focus in management from the University of Connecticut, Storrs and an MBA from Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver where he received the Wall Street Journal Student Achievement Award. He holds a Series 7 license, is a First Movers Fellow of the Aspen Institute Business & Society Program, an advisory board member of the GreenFin Summit, and is a Lifetime Member of Net Impact.
