Christy Spees leads As You Sow’s Environmental Health Program, engaging investors and companies to ensure consumer safety from environmental contaminants, especially in the food system. Christy has previously worked to promote clean and fair food and farming as an educator for Whole Foods Market and as a community organizer for urban farmers and farmers markets in Chicago, Illinois. She earned a master's degree in public health from the University of Illinois at Chicago and a bachelor's degree in writing from Illinois Wesleyan University.
