Clark Brockman is a champion for energy-efficient, climate-responsive design throughout the built environment. Since joining SERA in 2002, Brockman has helped his colleagues embed sustainability practices into all aspects of the firm. As Co-founder of SERA’s Sustainability Resources Group (SuRG), Clark is a passionate advocate and facilitator who has led the firm’s continuing evolution in the fast-growing arena of high performance buildings and district scale systems. He is involved with many of SERA’s LEED projects, all of the firm’s Living Building projects, and much of the firm’s EcoDistricts work. He also continues to work on systemic change in the industry through policy development at the local, state and national level. In 2012, Brockman served as a juror for AIA National’s COTE Top 10 Green Building Awards, and in the fall was awarded the prestigious designation of LEED Fellow by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC). Brockman is also a nationally recognized speaker and panel participant on topics ranging from green building to energy and water efficiency. He is a founding and current Board member of the International Living Future Institute, and a past Board member and Chair of the Cascadia Green Building Council. In 2010, he was named to the US General Services Administration (GSA) Professional Peer group. Brockman is a long-time member of the AIA and a LEED Accredited Professional focused on Building Design and Construction (LEED AP BD+C).
