Craig Beatty is the Manager of Forests Research & Strategy at World Wildlife Fund (WWF), the world's largest nature conservation organization. Craig is responsible for representing WWF within the Science Based Targets Network (SBTN) as the co-lead of SBTN Land which is developing guidance that will allow companies to set quantifiable targets on Nature as a necessary companion to their commitments to climate. In SBTN Land Craig coordinates the development of the first methods that will allow companies to set targets that address their operational and supply chain impacts on land, develops analytical and spatial tools and resources to answer key data and information gaps, and collaborates with partners and stakeholders to ensure broad uptake and support among industry and non-governmental organizations. Craig is an expert in landscape restoration, biodiversity, and the role that forests play in supporting many dimensions of human health. He holds a B.S. in Biology from the University of South Florida and an M.S. in Environmental Science & Policy from George Mason University.
