Elise Mazur is a research analyst for the Land and Carbon Watch project. She uses geospatial data and analyses to monitor changes in land use. Elise previously worked on the Resource Watch and Energy Access Explorer data platforms at WRI before returning to school for a master's degree.
She holds a bachelor's degree in geographic science from James Madison University and a master's degree in geography from Oregon State University. Her focus and passion are in remote sensing, food systems and social justice.
Elise lives in Corvallis, Oregon where she bikes around town and hikes around mountains.
