Angela Cheung has over 24 years of experience in water resources engineering in both the private and public sectors. Cheung is the Deputy Operating Officer of the Water Utility Operations and Maintenance Division at the Santa Clara Valley Water District. Her current duties include oversight for operations and maintenance of the district’s 3 drinking water treatment plants, an advanced water purification center, a state-of-the-art water quality laboratory, a well field, a pump station jointly owned and operated with the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission, 3 pumping plants, 140 miles of large transmission pipelines and 400 acres of groundwater recharge ponds. She earned a B.S. in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the University of California at Berkeley. She is a registered civil engineer in California and has a chief operator license from the Division of Drinking Water.
