Carla Boragno is a transformational business leader known for delivering results, scaling organizations for growth, and building high-performing global teams. Boragno's expertise across multiple disciplines including engineering, manufacturing, sustainability, procurement, IT and M&A integration, coupled with her track record of success over 25+ years, makes her a natural choice to lead large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that require innovative solutions. As Genentech’s Vice President of Site Services, Boragno oversees Genentech’s headquarters in South San Francisco which is home to over 12,000 employees, spans 180 acres, and holds more than 5 million square feet of space devoted to research and development, manufacturing, marketing and administration. Under her leadership, Genentech Site Services is responsible for real estate transactions; property management; transportation; facilities operations, including water and energy management; and emergency response. She is accountable for a real estate portfolio valued at more than $3 billion and a team of more than 600+ employees and contractors. Boragno has also been a pioneer in the healthy buildings movement, leading Genentech's partnership with the US Green Building Council's Healthy Buildings Initiative, Webcor and Lawrence Berkeley National Lab to design and construct Genentech's Building 35, a state-of-the-art office building that combines cutting-edge workspace design with environmentally-sustainable architectural design and materials to promote healthier, more productive work environments. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from University of California, Berkeley. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Northern California Junior Achievement and the Genentech Foundation.
