Piya Baptista is a sustainability specialist with 20-plus years of experience with businesses, development finance institutions and nonprofits. At Corporate Citizenship, a sustainability consulting firm, Piya advises companies on sustainability strategy, social impact, including human rights, and reporting. Her experience spans health care, food and agriculture, technology, financial services, and general manufacturing. Prior to Corporate Citizenship, Piya worked for the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) to advance sustainability reporting in North America, including leading a multi-stakeholder initiative to redefine how companies approach health and wellbeing. Her career experience includes addressing global economic development challenges through The World Bank, and its private sector investment arm, the International Finance Corporation (IFC). At IFC, Piya built understanding of commercially viable “inclusive business solutions” that integrate low-income populations into value chains as employees, suppliers, distributors, retailers, and customers. Piya started her career at Ashoka: Innovators for the Public where she advanced the work of social entrepreneurs globally. Piya has authored several articles and publications, including as a former non-resident Research Fellow for the Corporate Responsibility Initiative at the Harvard Kennedy School. She received an MSc in Development Studies from the London School of Economics and a B.A. in Economics from St. Xavier’s College in India.
Lisa Manley is Vice President of Sustainability at Mars, Incorporated where she oversees the Thriving People portfolio of initiatives, which includes respecting human rights, increasing incomes for smallholder farmers and unlocking opportunities for women. Lisa joined Mars in 2017 to refine and help launch the Sustainable in a Generation Plan. Since its launch, she has been focused on building momentum in the Plan through distinct sustainability strategies, dynamic communications, strategic NGO partnerships, diverse stakeholder engagements and visible leadership. Lisa has worked on sustainable business strategy, communications and stakeholder engagement for the past 23 years. She is recognized externally as a leader in sustainability, speaking regularly in stakeholder forums and publishing viewpoints on relevant issues. She’s worked in-house at The Coca-Cola Company in the United States and Europe and served as a consultant to numerous Fortune 100 companies – always focused on integrating social and environmental sustainability into business strategy. Lisa has shaped globally recognized initiatives on climate action, water stewardship, sustainable packaging, diversity & inclusion, and unlocking opportunities for women. The first woman in her family to graduate from college, Lisa holds undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Virginia. Outside work, Lisa serves on the Board of SMYAL, an organization working to empower LGBTQ youth. She and her wife, Christina, enjoy travel, golf, tennis, hiking and biking.
Andrea is the Chief Sustainability Officer for LyondellBasell, one of the world's largest plastics and chemicals companies. She joined LYB in November 2019 and is responsible for setting the strategy and ambitions to advance LyondellBasell's Future Focused sustainability vision focused on Plastic Waste, Climate Change and a Thriving Society. Prior to this, she led impact strategy for Quadia, a private equity company in Geneva, Switzerland investing in scaling the circular economy and spent ten years at the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the leading CEO-led organization working to accelerate the sustainable transition. Andrea started her career in public policy in international energy relations and trade policy in Canada. She holds a Masters Degree in Global Policy and Bachelors Degree in International Relations.
Lori is a creative strategist who believes in the power of business for good. She strives to make a positive impact by engaging leaders around the mission critical issues that will accelerate our transition to a planetary economy. To support this shift, she taps into her experience in sustainable business leadership, stakeholder engagement, corporate strategy, change management, as well as marketing and communications.
An entrepreneur at heart, Lori leads the GreenBiz Group’s international expansion activities in Europe, including the 2022 launch of the GreenBiz Executive Network - Europe. Prior to joining GreenBiz, Lori served for 8 years at sustainability consulting firm Quantis in global communications, marketing and strategy leadership roles. She is based in Paris, France with her family and beloved dog Inka.
Asheen (he/his) is the Director of ESG & Sustainability for PagerDuty (NYSE: PD), a digital operations management company. Prior, Asheen has served as the global head of sustainability for Dassault Systèmes, and has consulted in sustainability strategy for companies in tech, fashion, chemicals, and financial services. In these roles, Asheen co-authored the aerospace sector guidance to the GHG Protocol, co-developed a net-positive innovation handprinting methodology, and contributed to the Higg Product eco-index. He also co-founded the public benefit corporation Eleven Radius to catalyze the circular economy in the fashion industry. Asheen holds a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from Babson College, and teaches Biomimetic Design at the Minneapolis College of Art & Design (MCAD).
In his downtime, Asheen is into travel, cooking, fashion, languages (because of the travel), and running (because of the cooking). He concocts dishes with his daughter and coaches his son’s town soccer team. If you’ve read this far, he’ll buy you a bourbon.
Saloni is the CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer at EcoEnclose, the world's most innovative provider of sustainable shipping solutions for ecommerce brands. She is passionate about helping conscious companies thrive and pursuing advancements that help build towards a truly circular materials economy. Prior to EcoEnclose, Saloni was a Managing Director at New Venture Advisors, a consultancy that supports the development and growth of sustainable food and agriculture. Professionally, Saloni's career has balanced social justice, environmental progress, and strategy - including the launch of Fresh Takes Kitchen, a social enterprise committed to improving healthy food access and serving as a Director at Teach For America. Saloni lives in Colorado with her three children, whose deep and growing passion for the planet and all of its biodiversity inspires her for what the future may bring.
Julian Moffatt is the Principal Solutions Strategist, ESG for VelocityEHS. Julian contributes his expertise in ESG product creation for VelocityEHS, and oversees the ESG team. Prior to working at VelocityEHS, he has had a multitude of EHS experience, ranging from Vice President of Client Solutions at e3 Solutions, EHS Solutions Manager at Blue292 Inc, and Environmental Health Safety Specialist at Caribou Systems Corporation. Julian studied Environmental Resource Studies at the University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario.
Dr. Spencer Meyer is the Head of Science at NCX and is responsible for ensuring NCX is deploying and advancing the most credible, innovative science on natural capital solutions. He is an innovator and leader with 20 years of experience working collaboratively with NGO, government, private sector, and academic partners to solve natural resource challenges. He is a co-founder of Sebago Clean Waters, an advisor to conservation NGOs and private foundations, and a frequent speaker on forest management, watershed protection, natural climate solutions, conservation finance, and partnership development.
Jad Daley is the 40th president and chief executive officer of American Forests, the nation’s oldest forest conservation organization, founded in 1875. Under Daley’s leadership, American Forests has grown three-fold and launched partnerships to tackle climate change and social inequity across the United States.
In his current role, Daley serves as the co-chair of the Forest-Climate Working Group, which he co-founded in 2007, and sits on the boards of the Sustainable Forestry Initiative, North American Forest Partnership and Nature4Climate. Daley is also the co-founder and co-chair of 1t.org US, the U.S. chapter of 1t.org – a global platform dedicated to conserving, restoring and growing 1 trillion trees by 2030.
Daley has a long record of leadership in the forest community, including serving as the first director for the 22-state Eastern Forest Partnership and establishing a forest-focused Climate Conservation Program during his nine-year stint at The Trust for Public Land. He has also played a lead role in authoring multiple pieces of federal legislation for forests, including the 2021 REPLANT Act, the 2008 U.S. Forest Service’s Community Forest Program and the 2008 Community Wood Energy Program.
Daley’s writing has been featured in media outlets such as the Washington Post, New York Times, HuffPost, Medium and the U.S. EPA Environmental Justice blog. He is a cited co-author on multiple scientific studies in the area of forests and climate change, including new research between the Forest Service and American Forests, which investigates forest soil carbon.
Daley is a graduate of the Peddie School, Brown University and Vermont Law School, where he earned an M.S.E.L. degree summa cum laude.

Jenny Ahlen directs the strategy, coordination, and execution of the We Mean Business Coalition’s net zero programs and works with its partners to catalyze business and policy action to halve emissions by 2030 and accelerate an inclusive transition to a global net-zero economy by 2050. Before joining We Mean Business Coalition, Jenny spent over ten years at Environmental Defense Fund helping companies set and achieve ambitious climate commitments with an emphasis on supply chains and agricultural emissions. Prior to joining EDF in 2011, Jenny worked for the Arkansas Economic Development Commission in two different roles, first as the Renewable Energy Programs Manager for the Arkansas Energy Office, and then for the Strategic Planning Division, with a focus on energy policy and legislation. Before Jenny moved back to Arkansas from Boston, she worked for Abt Associates Inc. as an analyst, estimating the costs and benefits of environmental regulations for the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Jenny has a MA in Energy and Environmental Analysis and a BA in Environmental Analysis and Policy from Boston University.
Jared helps companies achieve their ESG goals through increased understanding and mitigation of risk. He has over a decade of leadership in human rights, anti-bribery and anti-corruption, and environmental issues. Jared has conducted on-the-ground audits around the globe to support labour rights, environmental and Responsible Sourcing. He's authored multiple standards including the Conflict Minerals Reporting Template (CMRT).
Jen Lee is Beautycounter’s first chief impact officer with the goal of deepening the brand’s commitment and industry-leading achievements related to sustainability, advocacy and ingredient safety. Previously serving as Beautycounter’s SVP of Supply Chain, Jen understands the challenges and opportunities of creating safer and cleaner products, and brings her relationships with manufacturing, transportation, and fulfillment partners to further align its operations and social impact.
Marcelo Lu serves as Senior Vice President, Care Chemicals North America at BASF Corporation. He assumed this role in January 2021, overseeing eight manufacturing sites, four laboratories, and a team of over 650 people that serve our customers. In this role, Marcelo leads the strategic and operational performance of the Care Chemicals business that serves customers in the Home Care, Personal Care, Ag Additives and Industrial markets. Key responsibilities include customer relationships, operational excellence, innovation, sustainability and collaborating with teams globally to meet the needs of the North American market.Marcelo joined BASF in 2006 and has held various commercial and general management positions in Germany, Hong Kong, Canada and the U.S. Marcelo then held regional business management positions in Asia in the textile, packaging and automotive markets. Prior to BASF, Marcelo held several consulting positions at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the private sector arm of the World Bank.Before joining Care Chemicals North America, Marcelo served as Managing Director of BASF Canada. In this role, he put a spotlight on BASF as a sustainability leader in Canada, through driving thought leadership, promoting a circular economy and advocating innovation, digitalization and smart regulation for sustainable solutions in Canadian business. Marcelo holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University (Washington, D.C.) and executive education from INSEAD. Marcelo is passionate about archery, swimming, spinning and traveling. In his free time, he enjoys the company of his daughter and son and is trying to be a fun dad.
David is a Product Manager at C3 AI, where he focuses on designing AI-enabled enterprise sustainability software. Prior to joining C3 AI, David was the Director of Research – Projects at the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (now part of IFRS) where he co-led the team that developed the SASB sustainability disclosure standards. David also led efforts at SASB to drive convergence among ESG reporting standards, working extensively with other standard-setters, regulators, investors, and companies. David has an MBA from UC Berkeley – Haas as well as undergraduate degrees in Chemical Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering from UC Berkeley.
Rob oversees the development and establishment of Aspiration’s global carbon portfolio as well as the Aspiration carbon credit quality standards. He’s been a leader in the climate change and carbon business for over 12 years, pioneering the very industry standards in carbon markets at the foundation of Aspiration’s business.
Chris Coulter works with leadership organizations to help them better understand and respond to shifting stakeholder expectations, build trust with key constituencies and exert greater influence in shaping the future. Chris has two decades of experience in providing evidence-based counsel in the areas of reputation, purpose and sustainability. He is passionate about building trusted and recognized leadership for GlobeScan’s clients. Chris has substantive international experience having lived in North America, Europe and Asia and works with GlobeScan clients in all regions of the world. He is also a member of SustainAbility’s Council and is a Board Member of Canadian Business for Social Responsibility and Good World Solutions.
Chris is an experienced ESG professional who has created successful sustainability strategies and driven breakthrough results at major technology companies. Chris’ approach involves building organizational alignment, taking a business-first approach. He is an engaging spokesperson, and well-known in the sustainability community.
Lauren Phipps works to accelerate the transition from a linear to a circular economy. She is a Master of Environmental Management candidate at the Yale School of the Environment focusing on industrial ecology, business and the mechanics of systems change. Her work centers on critical materials and strategies to forge and future-proof the value chains that drive decarbonization. Lauren is a co-lead of the Business and Environment club and a CBEY 2050 Fellow. Prior to Yale, Lauren led circular economy strategy, programs and partnerships at GreenBiz as Vice President and Senior Analyst. During her time at GreenBiz, Lauren launched Circularity, the world’s largest circular economy conference, and authored an industry-leading weekly newsletter known for its skeptical yet solutions-oriented voice and systems lens. Lauren holds bachelor’s degrees in Environmental Analysis and Sociology from Pitzer College.
Ellen Lenny-Pessagno is Vice President for Global External Affairs and Sustainability for Albemarle (ALB), a global specialty chemicals company with leading positions in lithium, bromine and refining catalysts. We power the potential of companies in many of the world's largest and most critical industries, from energy and communications to transportation and electronics. In this role, Ellen leads a global team to develop and implement the Energy Storage external affairs and sustainability strategy, works proactively with government authorities and communities to create long-term relationships, and develops partnerships with organizations such as industry associations, think tanks, and other external stakeholders to support Energy Storage growth. As a member of the Energy Storage Leadership Team, Ellen and her colleagues developed and are currently leading the execution of the 10-year energy storage growth strategy. Prior to this role, Ellen was Global VP Lithium Sustainability and Country Manager Chile. She was responsible for developing the sustainability strategy for the Lithium Global Business Unit (recently renamed to Energy Storage Global Business Unit). Ellen led Albemarle to become the first lithium company to complete the Initiative for Responsible Mining Assurance (IRMA) self-assessment globally in Albemarle´s Salar mine site in Chile and the first to begin its third-party audit. The comprehensive IRMA mining standard is the only standard to be collaboratively developed by NGOs, affected communities, unions and end users. As Country Manager, Ellen represented Albemarle in Chile, executed the corporate strategy, and led all external affairs and community and environmental management.

Michelle Nutting is the Global Lead of Agriculture and Environmental Sustainability for Nutrien. She has been with Nutrien for more than 32 years and has a B.Sc. in Agriculture with a major in Soil Science from the University of Manitoba. Her career has included roles in field research and extension, regulatory management, sales and distribution. In her current role, Michelle is responsible for guiding the development of programs for agriculture and environmental sustainability within the company, and also with the broader external stakeholder community, to make positive contributions to productive and sustainable agriculture. She is actively involved in projects with the Gold Standard, the World Business Council for Sustainable Development, the Natural Climate Solutions Alliance, and the Science Based Targets Initiative.
Devon is the Head of Net Zero Strategy at Meta, where she leads carbon reduction efforts across the company in line with Meta’s commitment to achieve net zero in its value chain by 2030. Prior to joining Meta, Devon was the Senior Director of Net Zero Solutions at ENGIE Impact where she advised companies on net zero strategy and execution. In her career, she has held both corporate and nonprofit leadership positions in organizations focused on decarbonization, ecosystem protection, and social justice. She has a Bachelor’s from Stanford University and a Master’s from Harvard University.
Verena Radulovic is Vice President for Business Engagement at the Center for Climate and Energy Solutions, a not-for-profit that works to secure a safe and stable climate by accelerating the global transition to net-zero greenhouse gas emissions and a thriving, just, and resilient economy.
Ms. Radulovic works with businesses, policymakers and other stakeholders to advance business action on climate mitigation and resilience and help galvanize business support for ambitious, practical climate policies and solutions. She manages the Business Environmental Leadership Council (BELC), one of the largest U.S.-based cross-sectoral group of corporations focused on addressing the challenges of climate change and supporting climate policy. She oversees C2ES’ work on climate-related financial risk disclosure, supply chains, corporate greenhouse gas accounting, and climate resilience.
Previously, Ms. Radulovic led the Center for Corporate Climate Leadership at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), which provides greenhouse gas accounting guidance and resources to help organizations reduce their climate impacts. She brings over 15 years of experience managing public-private partnerships at the EPA with industry that measure and reduce the carbon footprint of their operations, supply chains, and products. In previous roles, she managed ENERGY STAR’s consumer electronics portfolio, developed an initiative to address potent greenhouse gases in the electronics industry’s supply chain, helped companies understand green power purchasing options via EPA’s Green Power Partnership, created pathways for smaller suppliers to report their GHG emissions to the U.S. government, and helped develop industry standards for more environmentally sustainable products.
David Staples, Senior Solutions Strategist - ESG is a subject matter expert acting as a guide, supporting Marketing, Sales, Product, and Implementation Services at VelocityEHS. David has over a decade of experience selling, implementing, and building EHS and ESG software solutions. In addition, he leads the VelocityEHS sustainability committee and coordinates the company’s net-zero targets. David received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, and a Master of Arts degree in Sustainability Management from Curtin University in Australia. He has received recognition as a certified ESG Practitioner from the Center for Sustainability and Excellence, is certified on the WRI’s GHG Protocol, and has been trained by Al Gore to become a Certified Climate Reality Leader.
Charlotte Bande is the Global Food & Beverage Sector Lead at sustainability consultancy Quantis. Charlotte oversees the delivery of bold and science-driven strategies that shift businesses in the food and beverage sector towards operating within planetary boundaries. In her previous role as Global Head of Climate Strategy, Charlotte guided some of the world’s largest companies in food, cosmetics and fashion in defining ambitious science-based climate strategies and equipped them with the knowledge, tools and buy-in to achieve them. She’s an advocate of "Absolute Sustainability," a Quantis philosophy that challenges businesses to think beyond carbon and take an integrated approach to sustainability, one that also considers biodiversity, land use and water resources. Her background in both engineering and business consulting provides both the strategic and technical insights needed to support Quantis’ mission of redefining the rules of business to pave the way for a new planetary economy that aligns business with nature. In the summer of 2020, she was named one of GreenBiz’s 30 Under 30 leaders.
Amanda Tucker is Senior Manager of Risk & Disclosure at The Coca-Cola Company. In her role, she leads risk and disclosure work across the company’s sustainability goals: Water Stewardship, World Without Waste, GHG Emissions Reduction, and Sustainable Agriculture procurement. She ensures that the company is incorporating sustainability-related risks into its Enterprise Risk Management Framework, providing relevant disclosures, and ensuring that external reporting demonstrates how the company is building resilience in its business and communities.She was previously Associate Director of the Reporter Services team at CDP North America where she led a team that supported companies with their CDP disclosures.She holds an M.Sc. in Integrated Water Resources Management and a B.A. in International Development in Environment and Agriculture, both from McGill University.
David Kuhn is WWF US’s Corporate Resilience Lead with the Resilience team. He previously worked on the Private Sector Engagement team and has been at WWF for 8 years.
In his role, he works with multinational companies to provide guidance on sustainability initiatives and goals, helps them develop a deep understanding of current climate change impacts and future risks, and works in landscapes around the world to take a participatory, multi-stakeholder based approach to prioritize, design, and test adaptation and resilience innovations that help people and nature.
David has worked with the Coca-Cola Company, McDonalds, Columbia University, the BioPlastic Feedstock Alliance, McCormick, and others along with local communities and governments to disseminate and scale lessons learned from this process to mainstream social-ecological resilience approaches across landscapes and industry.
Cynthia Muffuh joined the UN Global Compact Office in March 2022 as the Head of Human Rights and Gender Equality where she is responsible for articulating and delivering on the strategy to support business align their strategies andoperations with the Ten Principles especially around human rights and gender equality and move from commitment to action. She brings over 20 years’ experience leading global programs oninternational development and social sustainability. Throughout her career she has worked across the private sector, non-profit and intergovernmentalorganizations engaging and working with stakeholders and partners on complexglobal issues. She is a dual qualified legal practitioner with a focus on International Human Rights Law. She is married with 2 children.
Executive Director Avasant Foundation and Principal AvasantChitra has more than 25 years of Management and Business Development experience. She leads the development and implementation of the foundation’s mission through global initiatives to empower deserving young women and men through education, employment & entrepreneurship in the new digital economy. Chitra has also worked with state and local governments, international organizations including World Bank, USAID, and Fortune 500 corporations. Under Chitra’s leadership Avasant Foundation was recognized by Clinton Global Initiative for its Youth Empowerment initiatives in Jamaica and Haiti in 2015 and 2016. She received the Stevie award in 2018 and the Red Ladder award for Women in business in 2020. In 2022 she was recognized for her work as Unstoppable woman. Chitra is part of the Leadership team for Center for Social Impact, IAOP.
Paul Butler is a 3rd generation farmer in Central, IL where he raises 1,000 acres of corn, beans, wheat, and honey bees on their family farm. The farm is a conservation minded primarily no-till and limited tillage with a focus on balancing soil preservation and high yield.
John Hoekstra leads global sustainability solutions at Prologis. In this capacity, he is responsible for leading the strategy and development of sustainability solutions for Prologis customers as well as collaborating on Prologis’ own sustainability goals and plans. His focus is on scaling up renewable energy, zero emissions mobility solutions, and other initiatives around sustainable logistics in support of Prologis' net zero commitment and customer needs to decarbonize.
Prior to joining Prologis, John was the Global Vice President of Sustainability at Schneider Electric. During his 16-year tenure with the company, he partnered internally and externally on a range of sustainability topics on behalf of Schneider Electric, leading the evolution, strategy and delivery of cleantech, sustainability, and NEO Network™ services. His work included climate strategy and planning, renewable energy advisory and deployment, ESG framework evaluation and management, opportunity creation in circularity, and supply chain management for sustainability for global Fortune 1000 companies.
Previously, John held various positions in environmental management with Dell Computer, E.I. DuPont de Nemours, and Brown-Forman. John has a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Louisville and is a registered professional engineer.
Todd Brady is the Chief Sustainability Officer for Intel Corporation, and Vice President of Global Public Affairs. As Chief Sustainability Officer, he leads Intel’s global sustainability initiatives including climate, energy, water, green buildings and circular economy. Currently, Todd’s organization is focused on achieving Intel’s ambitious 2030 sustainability goals and commitment to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions in Intel’s global operations by 2040.
Todd’s Public Affairs teams oversee local government affairs, local media, community relations, corporate volunteerism, and sustainability at the company's major manufacturing and office locations around the globe. During his 25+ year career at Intel, Todd has represented the company in numerous public forums and led industry-wide initiatives in national and international committees. He has authored several papers in scientific journals and conference proceedings on a variety of sustainability topics. He was named by Scientific American as one of ten outstanding leaders involved in research, business or policy pursuits that have advanced science and technology and one of the world’s top 20 sustainability leaders by Sustainability Magazine.
Todd holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from Brigham Young University and a Master of Science in Environmental Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He lives in Gilbert Arizona with his family, and in his spare time can be found running or biking the streets and trails of the Grand Canyon state.
