But a wide range of actors — from the Department of Energy to major tech players — are backing nascent efforts, and in some cases, forward-purchasing carbon credits to help finance deployment.
What technical infrastructure, funding flows and regulations are needed to make carbon removal a realistic part of the climate action equation? How can we ensure solutions are viable, safe, just and scalable? What can sustainability professionals do to advance these solutions without diverting attention from their near term climate goals?
