Jamie Alexander

Jamie Beck Alexander is a climate activist, mom, and founding director of Drawdown Labs, Project Drawdown’s private sector testing ground for accelerating the scaling of climate solutions quickly, safely, and equitably. Jamie developed and launched Drawdown Labs in early 2020 and has led the program to push the boundaries of private sector climate action. Her popular TEDx talk, "No matter where we work, every job is a climate job now" helped usher in a new wave of employee climate activism inside the world’s most influential companies.
Jamie has been a guest on popular news outlets to talk about climate solutions, including CNN International, The Weather Channel, Al Jazeera, and NPR. She has also authored numerous articles on climate change including “Solutions to the Climate Crisis will come from the multitudes” and “Seeking your climate refuge? Consider this” for CNN, and “We need a new definition of corporate climate leadership” and “Will corporations choose climate transformation or climate status quo” for Fast Company.

Stephen Uwazota has extensive experience in Finance covering Investment Banking, Private Equity, Corporate & Commercial Banking and Credit Risk Management.
Stephen currently leads Sustainable Finance for Scotiabank’s Commercial Segment across Canada where he leads a team responsible for providing ESG/Sustainable Finance Advisory and Capital solutions towards the attainment of the bank’s goal of mobilizing $350 Billion of capital to support the transition to a Lower- Carbon economy.
He holds an MBA from the Rotman School of Management (University of Toronto), an Msc Investments from the University of Birmingham(England), the CFA Charter and enjoys playing squash.

Gina McCarthy

The first-ever White House National Climate Advisor and former U.S. EPA Administrator, Gina McCarthy is one of the nation’s most respected voices on climate change, the environment, and public health. As head of the Climate Policy Office under President Biden, McCarthy’s leadership led to the most aggressive action on climate in U.S. history, creating new jobs and unprecedented clean energy innovation and investments across the country. Her commitment to bold action across the Biden administration, supported by the climate and clean energy provisions in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and the Inflation Reduction Act, restored U.S. climate leadership on a global stage and put a new U.S. national target to cut greenhouse gas emissions by 50-52 percent below 2005 levels by 2030 within reach.

Judy Panayos

Judy Panayos, Group VP Climate Ambition at Sodexo, leads Sodexo’s Net Zero 2040 commitment, supporting all business globally through the transformation internally and in their value chain. She previously led Responsible Sourcing for North America, incorporating internal and client goals for sustainability and corporate responsibility into sourcing strategies, including the carbon footprint of the supply chain. Previously, Judy worked in medical device manufacturing at Becton Dickinson (BD) where she had oversight of various programs including Sustainable Procurement, Supplier Diversity, Supplier Risk, Supplier Quality Management, and Supplier Recognition. Prior to BD, Judy held key roles in performing arts logistics management, including multi-stakeholder urban renewal projects. Judy is currently the Steering Board Co-Chair of Global Sustainable Seafood Initiative (GSSI) and is the Board Chair for Sustainable Purchasing Leadership Council (SPLC). She has a Corporate Responsibility certificate and M.B.A. from Rutgers University and a B.F.A. from New York University.

Ryan Hart

As Corporate Counsel – Sustainability for Salesforce, Ryan Hart works closely with Salesforce’s Sustainability Team as an attorney dedicated to sustainability matters with a focus on supply chain sustainability, renewable energy procurement, and carbon credit procurement.
In his role, Ryan has developed and helped operationalize Salesforce’s Sustainability Exhibit, which is now included in supplier procurement contracts to help reduce the company’s carbon footprint. He also negotiates renewable energy power purchase agreements, works on sustainability compliance matters, and negotiates a wide variety of sustainability-related agreements.
Prior to joining Salesforce, Ryan represented institutional lenders, investors, and developers in the financing, development, and acquisition of over 6.5 GWs of renewable energy projects, both nationally and internationally. Ryan obtained his JD from University of California, Berkeley School of Law and most recently completed the Berkeley Law Executive Education Sustainable Capitalism and ESG program, the UC Berkeley Extension Advanced Program in Sustainable Management and became a UC California Certified Climate Steward.

Michelle Li

Michelle is the founder of clever carbon. She launched her career in Silicon Valley where she worked for some of the biggest names in tech including Salesforce and DocuSign. A proponent for making sustainability the new norm, Michelle founded clever carbon to help teach people about carbon footprint in a hip, fun, and relatable way because what gets measured gets changed. She is a TEDx, SXSW, and COP27 speaker on the topic of carbon literacy and is a United Nations content contributor. Michelle believes that a carbon literate society will accelerate solutions and actions at the speed and scale required for a thriving planet.
Michelle is also the founder of Women and Climate, a non-profit organization that inspires climate action by creating a joyful and safe space for more women to learn and talk about climate.

Kate Ogden

Kate Ogden is the Head of Advocacy and Movement Building at Seventh Generation. She leads the company’s advocacy work through partnership with movement-leading NGOs. Kate leads Seventh Generation’s engagement in organizing spaces dedicated to the business community’s advocacy for climate justice, democracy, reproductive freedom, and other issues. Prior to Seventh Generation, Kate spent 12 years at the global environmental organization Greenpeace, most recently as Deputy Director of the Grassroots Department. Kate is passionate about climate and energy justice, but has also developed and implemented advocacy campaigns on toxics regulation, deforestation, protecting our oceans, and protecting the right to protest. Kate lives in Richmond, VT with her husband and two children. She graduated from Brown University with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and South Asian Studies.

Tolulope Falade

Tolu Falade is a sustainability leader with over 10 years of experience in the food industry, building materials industry, retail & apparel industry, and technology industry. Tolu currently leads vendor sustainability at Indeed, working with suppliers responsible for Indeed’s scope 3 emissions and developing ways to jointly reduce the environmental impact of their supply chain activities.
Tolu specializes in sustainability and developing net zero strategy. She has developed expertise in supplier engagement and has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities associated with working with suppliers to reduce emissions.
Tolu is passionate about using her skills and experience to help businesses reduce their environmental impact and build a more sustainable future.
Tolu holds a Bachelor of Engineering and Biosciences from McMaster University. In 2020, she was named a Circularity 20’ GreenBiz Emerging Leader.

René Lammers

René Lammers is Executive Vice President & Chief Science Officer for PepsiCo, leading research, discovery and development efforts across product, package and processing for PepsiCo’s portfolio of global food and beverage brands. PepsiCo products are enjoyed by consumers more than one billion times a day in more than 200 countries and territories around the world. PepsiCo generated more than $86 billion in net revenue in 2022, driven by a complementary beverage and convenient foods portfolio that includes Lay's, Doritos, Cheetos, Gatorade, Pepsi-Cola, Mountain Dew, Quaker, and SodaStream. PepsiCo's product portfolio includes a wide range of enjoyable foods and beverages, including many iconic brands that generate more than $1 billion each in estimated annual retail sales.
As head of R&D, René is also responsible for PepsiCo’s quality and food safety and regulatory affairs efforts. In addition to this work, René has direct oversight of PepsiCo’s global sustainability initiatives, working across sectors, categories, brands and functions in the creation and management of projects to promote a more sustainable food system.
René joined PepsiCo in December 2010. Prior to his current role, he held a variety of leadership roles across the R&D function, including oversight for PepsiCo’s research program worldwide and serving as Chief Operating Officer for the R&D global team, overseeing Food Safety, Regulatory and Scientific Affairs, and Nutrition. René has more than 20 years of R&D experience in the CPG industry. Prior to joining PepsiCo, he worked at Unilever in various senior R&D positions across its home and personal care portfolio. He has lived in the UK, The Netherlands, and Thailand and is currently based in Purchase, NY.
René has held various board memberships including those of European and Dutch industry associations related to the home and personal care industry as well as the European Chemical Industry. He has also served as a member of the GMA’s Scientific and Regulatory Affairs Executive Committee. René currently holds a board seat at New York Hall of Science and serves as a commissioner for the National Commission on the Innovation and Competitiveness Frontiers, an initiative of the U.S. Council on Competitiveness.
René received his Doctor of Philosophy in Organic Chemistry from the University of Delft in The Netherlands. He lives in Connecticut with his wife Louise and their two sons Ryan and Kai.

Dr. Marcius Extavour is the Chief Climate Solutions Officer at TIMECO2. His career combines science, innovation, business, capital, and storytelling to build and deploy climate and energy solutions. His has served as Chief Scientist and Executive Vice President for Climate and Energy at XPRIZE Foundation, and held roles at University of Toronto, U.S. Senate Committee on Energy & Natural Resources, Ontario Power Generation, and Nortel Networks, and holds a PhD in quantum physics. He was named 2019 VERGE Vanguard Fellow, an AAAS Science & Technology Policy Fellow, Board Member at the U.S. National Academies of Science Energy & Environment Systems, and has been featured on Business News Network, PBS NOVA, CNBC, the Washington Post, and The Economist.

(GBCI), and the global technology platform, Arc. From his work at IBM and Lenovo, to his experience in the global nonprofit sector and beyond, Mahesh is committed to ensuring a healthy, lasting future for generations to come.
