Genevieve Lillis

Genevieve Lillis is an associate on the Shine initiative within the electricity practice. She is focused on accelerating the distribution-scale solar market through the development of standardized tools and resources for rural electric cooperatives. Her work involves identifying key barriers in the solar procurement process using a human-centered design approach. Genevieve partners with communities and electric utilities to provide direct procurement support.
Prior to joining RMI, Lillis interned with the sustainability unit of 4 Pines Brewing Company. During this time she implemented a supply chain management strategy for the brewery’s raw materials to be assessed as part of the B. Corp Certification. In Melbourne, Lillis worked on a sustainable bait fishing campaign for Clifton Consulting Group, focused primarily on stakeholder engagement concerning amended legislation. Lillis received her Bachelor of Science, Environmental Science from the University of Melbourne, Australia; her Masters in Agricultural Sciences, Sustainable Food Production is from the same alma mater.
