Gerardo Amado is the Global B2B marketing manager for Shell New Energies where he is leading the development of customer insights, value propositions and customer acquisition strategies for the Distributed Energy business. Gerardo is working with businesses and product teams in North America and Europe to help them and their customers attain their energy goals in cost reduction, sustainability and resiliency. Previously, Gerardo managed the global value chain optimization program for Shell Lubricants. Gerardo first joined Shell in 1996 and held regional and global roles in Shell Downstream prior to joining Shell New Energies in 2018.
Gerardo holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and information systems from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and an MBA from Rice University Jones Graduate School of Business in Houston, Texas. He lives in Houston, enjoying life with his wife as empty nesters.
