Gregg Renfrew
Founder & CEO
Beautycounter
Gregg Renfrew founded Beautycounter in 2011 with a mission to get safer beauty and personal care products into the hands of everyone. Her inspiration was personal: As she applied any number of products to herself and her children, she never once thought the ingredients may be harmful. She discovered how severely under regulated the personal care industry is and saw a need for better beauty in the marketplace. In 2013 she launched Beautycounter, a Certified B Corporation, to create transparency and safety in the personal care industry. Beautycounter currently develops and distributes nearly 150 high-performing products across skin care, color cosmetics, advanced anti–aging, kids, baby and personal care collections. Today, Gregg and the brand drive a national movement to advocate for stronger federal regulations that have stood largely unchanged since 1938. Prior to Beautycounter, Gregg built and sold her successful bridal registry company, The Wedding List, to Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia. She currently serves on the board of The Wharton School’s Baker Retailing Center and The Nantucket Project Fellows Committee, and guest lectures at Stanford Graduate School of Business, The Wharton School and USC. Gregg resides in Los Angeles with her husband and three children.
