Haley Kazanecki is a research intern for the Climate program at WRI. She is working on research that quantifies the impact of U.S. climate policies.
Prior to joining WRI, she worked as an economic policy intern with Friends of the Earth U.S., helping to launch their Banks and Biodiversity campaign.
Outside of WRI, she is working with a team at the Cornell Center for Conservation Bioacoustics on a paper classifying orangutan long calls.
She holds a bachelor's degree in environmental studies from Eckerd College and plans to pursue a master’s degree in environmental science and policy in the fall. She hopes to pursue a career that combines her interests in biodiversity and climate change by studying interactions between the two.
