Hannah Skeates

Hannah Skeates is Director of Nature Strategy for Finance & Environmental Markets at NatureMetrics, and leads the company's finance sector interactions. Prior to joining NatureMetrics, Hannah was part of the development of global sustainable investing and has been driving ESG/sustainable finance initiatives within mainstream investment management since 2007. Hannah has held a number of leadership roles in large finance industry firms including Global Head of ESG at Wells Fargo Asset Management, Head of Global ESG Strategy at S&P Dow Jones Indices, and iShares’ Global Head of Sustainable Investments at BlackRock. Hannah was also Special Advisor to the finance sector team at the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainable Leadership (CISL).

Hannah has been based in London and San Francisco, has an undergraduate MA (Hons) degree in Archaeology from Edinburgh University, and began post-graduate studies in Aquatic Conservation, Ecology and Restoration at University College London in 2022.
