He earned a master’s degree in industrial ecology, and his thesis developed a dynamic material stock and flow analysis for all road, water, and air vehicles in the Netherlands, in the context of urban mines for the circular economy. Jochem grew up in Zimbabwe, and he has a deep passion for the natural world. He is committed to finding ways that society and nature can coexist in a mutually supportive way. In his free time, he likes to perform contemporary soul music as a bass player in a 13-strong soul band.
