Senior Associate, Network Manager
Joshua Robinson, a native of Kansas City, Missouri, is a two-time graduate of the University of Kansas with a B.S. in Broadcast Journalism and a Master of Public Administration. Joshua has extensive knowledge in centering Racial Equity in municipal government services, and experience in addressing issues that affect communities most harmed by systemic and structural racism. In addition, Joshua is an innovative speaker, and has spoken on the topics of Black Liberation, Racial Equity & Anti-Racism, LGBTQIA+ Initiatives/Advocacy, Municipal Government, and Self-Empowerment.Joshua began his work in public service as a community organizer, which then led to a career in municipal government, previously working for the City of Austin, and now works in philanthropy. As the Senior Associate, Network Manager for Living Cities his role is to analyze all the ways the organization interacts with cities across the country in the Closing the Gap (CTG) Network. He conducts an qualitative analysis over the needs, common themes, and methods to assist cities in advancing racial equity and utilizing anti-racist principles. He has improved the way the organization utilizes Salesforce through developing Salesforce guidance and resource materials. In addition, he is a thought partner on numerous documents, proposals, programs, curriculum, presentations, and critical conversations; bringing in an important racial equity analysis.
