Juan Macias

A senior executive with a passion for innovation and decarbonization, leads AlphaStruxure, a Carlyle Group and Schneider Electric joint venture. In this role, he enables organizations to achieve ambitious energy transformations by building digital, sustainable, and efficient critical microgrid infrastructure to solve their energy challenges and limit the impacts of climate change.

As an advocate for creative business strategies and curator of talent, Juan champions AlphaStruxure’s model of providing integrated energy infrastructure design, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance ― without the need for customer capital investments or complexity. Juan believes that this approach, known as Energy as a Service, will accelerate the path to net-zero organizations and help them achieve long-term outcomes on resilience, reliability, greenhouse gas reduction, and cost stability.

Before forming AlphaStruxure in 2019, Juan honed his expertise in electrification ad digitization in two international roles at Schneider Electric, including concurrently serving as the Country President of Canada and the SVP Energy in the U.S., and also the Global SVP of Digital Energy Solutions based in France.

In addition, Juan has 20 years of general management experience from GE Digital Energy, GE Power, and ABB, where he developed a track-record for achieving top-and bottom-line growth and executing successful product launches, joint ventures, and business transformations.

Juan is a graduate of New Mexico State University and received his MBA from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College.
