As vice president of corporate affairs, Kathy Mulvany helps steward Cisco’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) vision of accelerating global problem solving to positively affect people, society and the planet in a connected world. As the head of Operations she promotes scalable, replicable and sustainable CSR impact by delivering improved productivity and operational excellence across Corporate Affairs and the integration of CSR into Cisco’s business functions. Programs supported include Veterans as well as Cisco Networking Academy, one of the largest education programs in the world, providing ICT skills education to more than 1 million students annually in over 170 countries. She also leads Cisco’s CSR reporting and stakeholder engagement as well as partnering with Cisco functional leaders to provide feedback, guidance and support on emerging environmental, social and governance related issues. Cisco is listed on the Dow Jones Sustainability World Index and ranked #1 on CDP’s Carbon Disclosure Leadership Index. She is a Trustee of the Cisco Foundation which focuses on early stage investments in IT-based solutions for education, economic empowerment and critical human needs. She is also a member of the Conference Board’s Sustainability Council II.
Prior to joining Corporate Affairs she held marketing and communications roles in Office of the President, Service Provider, Latin America Field Operations, and Corporate Marketing. Prior to Cisco she held roles with Oracle, Sybase and Ingres. Ms. Mulvany earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and English from the University of California, Berkeley.
