
Katie Siegner
Senior Associate

Katie Siegner is a senior associate with RMI’s Electricity practice, where she focuses on expanding market opportunities for distribution-scale renewables. She also supports eLab’s work to engage thought leaders and change-makers in events that foster innovation, collaboration and transformative ideas to decarbonize the electricity system.
Katie is passionate about accelerating the clean energy transition in a way that benefits local communities. Prior to RMI, she completed a Master of Environmental Management (MEM) at the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies. While at Yale, she studied clean energy policy, deployment, and finance, and interned for Ranger Power, a utility-scale solar developer. Her research interests included pollinator-friendly solar, offshore wind, and cutting-edge clean energy solutions.
Katie’s background is in communications and climate change education. Before returning to school for her Masters, she worked in Minneapolis at Climate Generation: A Will Steger Legacy. For the two years prior, Katie traveled around the U.S. working on environmental organizing campaigns.
