
Lauren Phipps

Lauren Phipps works to accelerate the transition from a linear to a circular economy. She is a Master of Environmental Management student at the Yale School of the Environment, with concentrations in industrial ecology and business. Her work focuses on circularity, critical materials and strategies to forge and future-proof mineral value chains for the clean energy transition. Lauren is a 2050 Fellow at the Yale Center for Business and the Environment, leads the Business & Environment Club at Yale and served as a 2023 EDF Climate Corps Fellow. Prior to Yale, Lauren led circular economy strategy, programs and partnerships as Vice President and Senior Analyst at GreenBiz Group. During her time at GreenBiz, Lauren launched Circularity, the world’s largest circular economy conference, and authored an industry-leading weekly newsletter on the topic. She holds a BA in Environmental Analysis and Sociology from Pitzer College.
