Lauren Stone

Lauren joined Walgreens in 2006 after completing her degree in psychology from Washington University in Saint Louis. She is now the Senior Manager for Corporate Social Responsibility and is responsible for Walgreens overall CSR strategy and internal governance. Lauren also ensures Walgreens alignment with the Walgreens Boots Alliance CSR strategy and initiatives. Lauren’s role allows her to work across all divisions of Walgreens ensuring that CSR is embedded into each department’s initiatives and ways of working. Previously, Lauren created Walgreens preventive ethical sourcing program which was implemented across all contract manufacturers. Lauren currently serves on the Social Sustainability Committee of the Consumer Goods Forum. Lauren is fascinated by the role that large companies play as global citizens, and how the interaction between government and private industry can drive innovation and progress.
