Leah Gerber is a professor of conservation science in the School of Life Sciences and founding director of the Center for Biodiversity Outcomes at Arizona State University. Gerber has pioneered new approaches to critical conservation planning and management questions and has published more than 150 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters and frequently publishes in leading scientific journals such as Science, Nature, PNAS, American Scientist and Ecology Letters. She is an Aldo Leopold Leadership Fellow and recently served as lead author of the Global Assessment of the United Nation’s Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services.
