Leigh is executive in residence at Nia Tero, a social enterprise startup where her accountabilities include enterprise strategy, innovative finance, governance and scaling rapid growth. Known for her ability to lead, transform and scale organizations in complex domestic and international environments, Leigh’s experience spans the corporate, public, and nonprofit sectors. Her capabilities include driving change across multiple sectors and stakeholders, strategy development and execution, mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, operations, the healthcare sector writ large and a deep understanding of how geopolitical dynamics impacts markets. She previously served as the COO at the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as associate chancellor at the University of California, San Francisco, and she held executive leadership positions at both Genentech and GlaxoSmithKline.
