Margaret Fenwick is an experienced corporate sustainability professional with expertise creating and implementing strategic sustainability and communications programs. She has extensive experience working with private, non-profit and public sectors, including Fortune 500 companies, world-class CSR platforms, top-tier media and the United Nations.
Margaret joined BASF in 2017. In her role as manager of corporate sustainability engagement, Margaret works with key external networks to differentiate BASF and within BASF to build our culture, commitment and capability for sustainability.
Margaret is the author of several publications including: "A Call to Climate Action: The UN Global Compact — Accenture CEO Study Special Edition" (UN Global Compact, Accenture Strategy 2015), "Exploring the Business Case for Corporate Action on Sanitation" (UN Global Compact, CEO Water Mandate 2014) and "EcoChic: Pequeños gestos para cuidar de ti y de tu planeta with foreword by primatologist Dr. Jane Goodall" (Grupo Planeta, MR Ediciones 2010).
Her relevant experience includes over 10 years working with companies to design and drive strategic sustainability plans that drive impact, increase visibility and establish influence and reputation among stakeholders. Margaret's in-depth knowledge of environmental and social issues in both developed and developing countries, and an understanding of CSR opportunities and challenges for the chemical industry sector are truly an asset to BASF's Sustainability team.
