Martin Brown

Martin Brown is an innovative and strategic sustainability and business improvement consultant based in Lancashire, and as U.K. Living Building Challenge Ambassador an acknowledged expert and advocate of sustainability innovation.

"FutuREstorative, Working Towards a New Sustainability," Martin's latest book, is published by RIBA Publishing.

Prior to founding his consultancy at Fairsnape he was a Project Manager and Business Improvement Manager within the major contracting and facilities management sector. Through Constructing Excellence, Martin champions industry collaborative initiatives and is Chair of Constructing Excellence Lancashire. 

In 2008 Martin co-founded Be2Camp, a social media advocacy for the built environment. As an experienced blogger, he comments, speaks and presents on built environment issues, contributes to a number of media sources and is a regular presenter and speaker. Martin was recently included within a global list of the 30 CSR professionals to follow on social media in 2015.

Martin was a co-founder of ConstructCO2 (online construction carbon tool) and a Fellow of the Benchmarking Institute
