Marty Spitzer is senior director of Climate and Renewable Energy Policy at the World Wildlife Fund. Since joining WWF in 2011, he has led efforts mobilizing business and cities to tackle climate change and build a clean energy economy. He championed the Renewable Energy Buyers Alliance and Principles and mobilizes business and cities for strong climate action and policy. He has been instrumental in building and launching "We Are Still In," a movement of over 2600 businesses, mayors, governors, higher education and faith leaders supporting the Paris agreement.
Spitzer previously served on the Science Committee in U.S. House of Representatives, as Executive Director of the President’s Council on Sustainable Development at the White House, and in various senior staff positions at the USEPA. Marty has a JD/PhD from the University of Buffalo and B.A. in Economics/History from Binghamton University.
