Mary Sotos is a project lead with the GHG Protocol at World Resources Institute, a DC-based think tank. She currently leads the development of forthcoming international GHG accounting guidelines for energy purchases. At WRI, she co-authored the U.S. Public Sector Protocol providing GHG accounting guidance for US government agencies, and supports the team’s calculation tools and resources. Mary graduated from St. Olaf College with a B.A. in Environmental Studies, and subsequently spent a year in Brussels, Belgium through a Fulbright Fellowship analyzing regional energy demand projections and the anticipated impact of energy efficiency policies in the building sector.
