Maya Albanese
Maya Albanese is a New York City based multimedia reporter, writer, and producer covering sustainability and innovation in the arts, food, design and technology worlds. She will receive a Master of Science degree in Multimedia Journalism and Documentary Filmmaking from Columbia University in September 2015.
In addition to How She Leads, she produces a show for Heritage Radio Network that parodies food trends, and contributes regularly to The Huffington Post. Over the last decade, she has helped manage sustainability programs at major U.S. companies, built conferences covering sustainable business, spoken at dozens of related events, and worked with entrepreneurs in the U.S. and Indonesia to build environmental and social responsibility into the heart of their companies.
Maya is a Phi Beta Kappa member with Bachelors of Arts degrees Summa Cum Laude in Global Studies and French from the University of California, Santa Barbara. She also studied sustainable interior design at the University of California Berkeley Extension and fashion design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York.
