Marathon Oil Tower Recognized by BOMA's Best Practices Program

The 41-story Marathon Oil Tower has been designated as a BOMA 360 Performance Building for its wide-ranging best practices in areas that include energy, water and waste management as well as green purchasing, life safety and tenant relations.

Transwestern the property manager for the site announced that the Class A1,070,210-square-foot office building has attained the designation. It is the first structure in Houston's Galleria area to receive such recognition.

The best practices program was launched in July by Building Owners and Managers Association International, better known as BOMA International, to provide a market differentiator for commercial structures that meet industry standards for all major areas of building operations and management.

The criteria for the 360 performance reviews are lengthy and explicit. Here is BOMA International's list of the practice areas that are evaluated:
