Nick Jeffries is the project manager for the Food Initiative and Case Studies at the Ellen MacArthur Foundation. Nick works for the Insights and Analysis team, a group of scientists, engineers, and other technical specialists, who strive to provide evidence of the benefits of a circular economy and insights into transition pathways. Nick manages the case study program, is part of the Food Initiative team, was an author on the Climate Paper, provides water-related expertise and is a regular contributor to Circulate.
Before joining the Foundation, Nick worked as an environmental engineer in the commercial, humanitarian, and international development sectors. His experience includes urban regeneration and landscaping projects for Arup in London, Lebanon, and Singapore; solar irrigation and aquaculture in Uganda and Ethiopia; post-conflict and disaster relief work in Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Iraq, and Indonesia. Nick has an MSc in Renewable Energy, is a chartered civil engineer and a member of RedR. When not working he likes exploring mountains, foraging for wild food, and making culinary journeys in his kitchen.
