Professor and Chair in Mathematical Modelling of the Climate System

Pierre Friedlingstein is a professor and Chair in the Mathematical Modeling of the Climate Systems at the University of Exeter. He also organizes the yearly Global Carbon Budget of the Global Carbon Project. Since 1994, he has been involved in climate assessment through his participation in the IPCC – he was a lead author for the 5th IPCC assessment report. With over 30 years of research experience, he focuses on global climate change, carbon cycles and modeling, and global biogeochemical cycles and their interaction with the climate system.
