Rachel Barge, Partner and Communications Guru at Greenstart, is a nationally recognized sustainability advocate and social entrepreneur. At Greenstart, Rachel is charged with telling the stories of the entrepreneurs who are transforming the multi-trillion dollar energy market with disruptive digital cleantech startups. She launched her first startup at the age of 22, a national consultancy that helped universities deploy over $16M towards energy efficiency, clean energy and green revolving loan funds. She served as Director of The Business Council on Climate Change, and Executive Director of CleantechU, a philanthropic initiative supporting cleantech entrepreneurs at universities. Rachel is winner of the prestigious David Brower Youth award, Morris K. Udall Scholarship and Wild Gift Fellowship. She holds a BS in Conservation & Resource Studies and Forestry from UC Berkeley.
