Risto Paldanius

Risto Paldanius brings 20 years of experience from different fields of the power generation industry—at Pöyry as a consultant and project manager, at General Electric conducting Energy Services sales in North Europe, and Fortum as a Key Account Manager for the largest industrial Finnish electricity consumers. He’s worked at Wärtsilä Energy Solutions the past nine years as Head of Advisory Services, conducting power system and feasibility studies, then as the Europe & Africa Area lead, and most recently leading the Energy Storage and Optimisation Business Development and Proposal teams. Now as VP, Americas, he leads the Americas regions for Wärtsilä Energy. Risto has a Master of Science degree in power plant engineering from Helsinki University of Technology, Finland.
